Mystery Blogger Award

on

If you are a member of the blogging community or you have read my Sunshine Blogger Award post then you will already know that there are awards given to bloggers, by bloggers, in recognition of their work. And trust me, there is a lot of time and effort that goes into creating and maintaining a blog, so being nominated for an award goes a long way.

When I came back from my holiday last month, I found out that I had been nominated by my fellow bloggers for not one, not two but three awards!! Keep your eyes peeled for my other award posts coming soon. So, a massive thank you to you all, I really appreciate it and what a great way to beat the post-holiday blues.

For this award, I was nominated by two lovely ladies: Ilona over at PeskyPelvis.com and Amy from SassyCatLady.com. Make sure you check out their blogs, they’re worth a read.

So, What Is It?

Without sounding too self-serving, the ‘Mystery Blogger Award’ is a peer-driven award for “for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging, and they do it with so much love and passion”.

The Rules

1.Put the award image logo on your blog post.

2.List the rules

3.Thank who nominated you and provide a link to their site.

4. Tell your readers three things about yourself.

5. Nominate 10-20 bloggers

6. Ask your nominees 5 questions of your choice

7. Share a link to your best posts (top 3)

3 Facts About Me

1.Even though I have a little brother, MJ, I still consider myself as an only child, and probably have a lot of the personality traits to prove it 😀

Now, that’s not as harsh as it sounds, MJ was born when I was 22, and despite the big age difference, we still have brother-sister fights. It wasn’t too long before he was throwing my new phone into a sink full of water or busting my eye open with a toy fire engine!!

2. I hate heights…. but only when stairs are involved. Roller-coasters? No problem. Sky dive? Abso-bloody-lutely. Reach the top of St Pauls using a staircase? Hello sweaty palms and a sick feeling in my stomach.

3. I am 5ft 2inches, Mark is 6ft 3.

Ilona’s Questions

Can you remember the last dream you had and if so, what was it about? Without going into too much detail because it wasn’t really a very nice dream, it ended with me hitting an Amazon delivery man over the head with a dumbbell!

Would you rather travel 50 years into the future or the past? Definitely into the past. It would be great to witness important historic events. The future should be a surprise, I’ll figure it out as I go.

Views on Brexit? I’ll be honest, it’s been going on so long now that I don’t really care anymore. I think the country voted to leave and therefore we should leave, but if they decided to drop it altogether and just stay as we are, then fine. As long as it’s over!

Favourite 90’s TV character? This is actually quite a tough one for me because I didn’t really watch a lot of TV when I was younger, I actually had to google ‘Best 90s TV characters’ and just pick my favourite from the list lol. The winner was Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

What is your happiest memory? I am lucky to have so many happy memories that it is difficult to pick just one. A recent one though, would be from our holiday in Norway where, during an excursion, our boat went up to a waterfall in the Fjord and we drank from it, just like Merida does in Brave but without the massive rock climb.

Amy’s Questions

As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up? I always wanted to be a teacher but as I got older, I realised what shits kids can be so gave up on that idea.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever been given? My engagement ring. Not just because it’s gorgeous but because it shows that Mark wants to put up with me forever.

What’s the emoji you use most often? 😀

What was the best advice you’ve been given when it comes to blogging? Stay true to yourself. You can take inspiration from other bloggers but don’t compare yourself or try to be like them. We are all different and that’s okay.

Cocktail of choice? I’m not much of a drinker but if I had to, my cocktail of choice is a ‘Sex on the Beach’ – Vodka, Archers, cranberry juice and orange juice.

My Questions

I have left this post a little late to be nominating other bloggers, they’ve probably all already done it, but I would like to nominate a new member of the blogging community, Mano from Mind Freak Movies.

However, you are all amazing so if you want to answer my questions, feel free. Let me know in the comments and I’ll check your blogs out 😀

Who was your favourite teacher at school?

How long would you last in a zombie apocalypse?

What was cool when you were young, that really isn’t now?

If you had a theme song, what would it be?

If you could live in any animated movie, which one would you choose?

Favourite Posts

It’s difficult to pick a favourite post, but these are definitely ones that I enjoyed writing. Check them out, I hope you like them.

Congrats on your two noms, you deserve it! And thanks for the mention 😊 I’m so glad someone else has the same view on brexit as I do! 😂

Great answers! Really fun! Agree on your Brexit views, please let something happen *rolls eyes*
    Answers to your qs.:
My favourite teacher was a very understanding English/music teacher, sadly she died many years ago.
In a zombie apocalypse I would barricade myself in a library or bookshop and have a good read while waiting to be eaten. Not sure how long that would take.
What was cool when I was young… I don’t know, CD walkmans?
My theme song – ‘I’m Only Sleeping’ by the Beatles.
If I could live in an animated movie… Yellow Submarine (Pepperland seems nice).

    1. Kirsty T says:

Love your answers. You’d probably survive quite a while in a zombie apocalypse, you’ll be so quiet, reading, the zombies wouldn’t know you’re there 😂

      1. nsfordwriter says:

Oh I think you’re right… but I do sneeze a lot, which might alert them to my presence?

  3. Mano Jashuva says:

    1. Kirsty T says:
