Love Popcorn Milestone: 100 Posts

When I first started this blog, I had no idea how it was going to go. Would I have anything interesting to say? Would I run out of ideas? Could I balance blogging with life and working full time? Luckily, I kept it up and a couple of days ago, nine months after starting my blog, Love Popcorn posted it’s 100th post!

In order to celebrate my little milestone, here’s a little recap of some of my first hundred posts.

My First Review

My first ever review was for the Disney film, Ralph Breaks The Internet, the somewhat disappointing sequel to the surprise hit, Wreck-It Ralph. The film see best buddies, Ralph and Vanellope, embark on an adventure into the Internet in a bid to save an arcade game.

My Top Three Posts

My top three most viewed posts are…

Wild RoseSet in the heart of Glasgow, Wild Rose tells the story of Rose-Lynn , a troubled young mother who dreams of becoming a Nashville Country music star. With brilliant performances from Jessie Buckley and Julie Walters, and set to a toe-tapping soundtrack, Wild Rose is a must see.

Rocketman – A musical fantasy film offering a no holds barred look at the troubled years of music legend, Elton John, brilliantly portrayed by Taron Egerton and featuring a whole host of Elton’s songs. Regardless of whether you are a fan of Elton or not, film lovers will love Rocketman and its unique take on a biopic.

Top Ten Game of Thrones Characters – If you’ve been following me for a little while then you probably know I am a big GoT fan, and in preparation for the final season, I created a post listing my top ten characters. Now fans may have been highly critical of the final season but that didn’t stop this post from being my third highest viewed post so far.

My Favourite Post

This is such a difficult one as I like them all, but I think that I would have to say my review for Taxi Driver because it is the first one in my new feature, Retro Reviews, and marks the start of my journey into the classic films of Hollywood.

My Proudest Post

The post I am most proud of is probably my review for Woodstock or Bust as it was the first film I was requested to review which, for someone who wasn’t sure anyone would even read my blog, is a major personal accomplishment.

That being said, I can’t talk about my proudest post as a blogger and not mention the fantastic honour of being nominated for several peer-nominated awards, without the support of my fellow bloggers I am not sure I could have made it this far.

So there you have it, a little round up of some of the key moments in my first 100 hundred posts, here’s to the next hundred.
